Let’s just lay it out on the table babes, having a space within your home specifically for sexual play is not a dirty and dark thing to do. This Netflix show brought the topic of sex rooms into such a light that was 1, amazing to watch the transformations of rooms, and 2, seeing couples come together just by creating a space for them.
You could get super crafty and fun when it comes to this. There is no limits, no rights or wrongs, and no boundaries for your own room. Whether this is an entire basement, a bedroom, or just half a room, we still have the ability to create a sanctuary for your fantasies.
CREATING THE SPACE
Here are some components to think about while creating your own sex room:
-Where is my room going to be?
-What does my budget look like?
-What do I already have in my arsenal that I can contribute?
I went ahead and made a cute list for you to screenshot and keep for when you need some ideas! The list goes on and on, these were just some of my needs, remember this all depends on your personal preference of how you want your layout!
This also does not have to be hundreds and thousands of dollars, (unless you want it to be) this could simply be hunting in your basement for unused tables, chairs, furniture, etc.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
I would start to think of at least one drawer or shelf that you can display all of your toys and accessories for easy access.
Along with HOOKS. Get some hooks for the wall! Hang up your hand cuffs, your leash, rope, floggers, etc. This was a super cute touch to add onto the walls for me. I had also dried out some old flowers from a lover of mine and placed them up there! Super cute.
Command strips and thumb tacks are only $10-20, so budget mode can be activated! Hang up some of your favorite art work, take some sexy photos with your partner and print them out. Begin to bring pieces of your own taste into the space.
Moving on, think of cozy blankets, fancy pillows, and maybe splurge on some silk sexy bed sheets. One key point I got from watching the show, was you want your bed to call your name when you walk into the room.
