The Lube Guide

Let’s talk lube!

The in’s and out’s of selecting lube for the right sexy occasions…

If you are someone who only has one lube on their night stand, which you use for just about everything, that’s okay! However I want to open up your horizons for different types of lubes out there.

Yes, a water based lube is perfect, but the reason why there’s so many is because not all parts of your body lubricate themselves!

Fun fact; your anus does not self lubricate, therefore anal lube is something that would be perfect in a case like this.

WHY LUBE?

Using lube during sexy time is great because it adds an extra layer of lubrication (ha,ha no DUH Iris) but it truly does! Not all people are able to produce as much wetness as others, and for someone like me who is on an anti-depressant, I can say that this statement is so true.

I sometimes struggle when it comes to boosting my sex drive. Sometimes she’s simply not there. It could become a buzz kill over time, which is why I turned to buying some new products that would help with this problem.

Here is a quick guide to help learn the basics of the most popular types of lube you will encounter.

WATER BASED

-Body safe

-Silicone, metal, glass, ABS plastic safe

-Latex friendly

SILICONE BASED

-NOT compatible with silicone toys.

-Safe with metal, glass, and ABS plastic

-Recommended for Anal

*Pro tip* silicone has a consistency that is more slippery, which does not absorb into water (like oil) which is PRIME for shower sex… you’re welcome ;)

HYBRID BASED

-Blend of water & silicone lubricant

-Body safe

-Latex friendly

-Compatible with silicone, metal, ABS plastic, and glass.

-(Clean your toy thoroughly right after use with a hybrid lube)

EDIBLES

-External and oral use ONLY

-Sugars are harmful to the inside of the vagina, causing UTI’s and infections !!!!

ANAL LUBES

-Could be either silicone or water based. Made more slippery and silky, helping the anus get extra lubricated.

*Pro Tip: Invest in a lube shooter.

Keep in mind, these are just a FEW of the many lubricants that are out there on the market. The glory of this is that you can trial and error, test them out! It took me a few lubes to get to the right ones.

All glycerin and paraben free, how lovely <3

I’ll leave you with a link to do your own soul searching… when it doubt, lube her UP
